Having attended my first TECA’s on behalf of the Counter Fraud Professional Awards Board (CFPAB) I would like to thank everyone who made the 2023 TECA’s the success it undoubtedly was. The afternoons event included some excellent thought provoking presentations by engaging speakers, this all topped off by the evenings award ceremony. As one of this year’s judges it was great to see it all come to fruition with some well-deserved awards – well done to everyone who received an award.’  Peter, Peter Darby Associates

About the TECAs

The Tackling Economic Crime Awards (TECAs) are open to anyone working in the UK – operating in the publicprivate and third sector. The awards recognise and reward individuals, teams, initiatives and companies involved in tackling different areas of economic crime. The awards are designed to be both independent and inclusive, providing an opportunity for outstanding performers, whether buyers or suppliers to be recognised and their success to be celebrated.

The TECAs are designed to be different. They aim to involve those who are outstanding at tackling different aspects of economic crime and are based on the four core values.

Our Core Values

Independent: The TECAs are independent. You don’t have to be a member of an association to be involved; anyone working to prevent any area of economic crime can enter a category that is relevant to them. The only requirement is that you have shown outstanding performance in your field.

Credible: The criteria for each award category have been carefully considered and based on extensive research across different areas of economic crime by looking at how outstanding performance is recognised and judged in other fields. There are strict criteria for who is appointed as a judge and for ensuring that judging decisions are fair and impartial.

Transparent: We want everyone to know the criteria for entering, how judges are selected and how the judging process works, so these details are published on the website.

Respectable: The TECAs will become a well-known brand, generating honour and opportunities for our winners. Furthermore, winners will be widely recognised as driving outstanding performance from those involved in tackling different areas of economic crime.
