Introduction
This course will take you through the key principles of FLM and provide you with the practical skills to conduct an FLM exercise in your organisation.

- Understand the background and history of FLM
- Describe what is meant by FLM
- Explain how FLM underpins an organisations counter fraud strategy
- Define the objectives of FLM
- Explain the terminology used in FLM
- Consider different sampling methodologies
- Identify the six key stages of an FLM exercise
- Demonstrate how to extract a robust data sample from a data set
- Explain the impact of the DPA, HRA and the Digital Economy Act on FLM
- Identify why a uniform approach is critical to investigating data samples
- Undertake a FLM exercise
Who should attend?
The course is relevant for all counter fraud staff wishing to increase their knowledge of how FLM enhances their organisations counter fraud prevention and deterrence strategy.
How will you be taught?
The Course is delivered over one day via the Zoom platform. We use a range of different methodologies to cater for all students learning.
Assessment and Accreditation Criteria
Students have the opportunity to assess their learning through small group exercises. Upon completion of the course, students will receive certification.
